Brothers Ron and Keith (Toby) Duis grew up working in the Grocery Store cutting meat for their parents. In 1978 Duis Meat Processing was opened in Concordia, Kansas. In 1985 they decided to expand with the opening of Smoky River Meats in Salina. Their goal with Ron in Salina and Toby in Concordia was to furnish quality Kansas Beef and Pork to the Salina area. This has also expanded to Poultry, Turkey, Buffalo, Lamb, Goat, Sausage, and Seasonings.
Sausage making has always been of great interest to both brothers. Smoky River Meats now carries a large line of Homemade Sausage. Awards have been in Ham, Bacon, Smoked Turkeys, and Sausage over the years.
Our goal is to provide quality meat products to all of our customers, listen to any comments made by our customers and to give fast and friendly service.
